I have divided opinions about my experience learning English at the university. The previous year I was very frustrated with the course because I didn't enjoy learning online and I didn't like the teacher's dynamics. I also felt that I did not learn much new content. On the contrary, this year I have enjoyed the experience of learning English much more because having face-to-face classes is more entertaining and the professor this semester has also made the experience more entertaining and enjoyable. I feel that this semester I have learned many new things in a fun way. The blogs are interesting and have helped me a lot to improve my English writing, it is fun to know what my classmates have to say about certain topics, although I would really like to have those conversation spaces in class where we can talk about what we say in the blogs, so I can get to know my classmates better. I am currently in my second year of Anthropology at the Universidad de Chile, and to be honest I have generally liked the program of studies very much, except for some details. Throughout the first two years of the mandatory curriculum there are subjects in archaeology, physical and social anthropology. Many people already know which course to take from the beginning, and others do not, so the compulsory study of all 3 branches can have both pros and cons. For example, there was a subject called "Taller II: Materialidad y Bioantropología" in which I was taught archaeology and bioanthropology. The truth is that the archaeological field of this subject was quite boring for me, since I was not interested in the archaeological details taught, the teacher was good, but still I could not find a real interest in the archaeology taught in that subject. Also, the assistants in the subject were not very nice. I wish that taking certain subjects had been optional, it would have saved me...

Time travel sounds like fun. If I could do it, I would definitely travel back in time, because I have always been intrigued to know who my ancestors were. Knowing what would happen in the future would give me more security or allow me to know future generations, but I find that it would also be very boring to know what will happen, I prefer to live the excitement of the moment with the uncertainty that the future provokes. I would travel back in time to learn about my family history, as there are many holes in my family history and since I was a little girl I have always had doubts about it. I would like to know the kind of life those people had, the things they did, the scenarios they had to go through, everything about them. I think knowing who they were and the things they lived would give me clarity in my life, and also a deep understanding of my roots. That could also give me an understanding about family patterns. I would like to be able to travel as far back in time as possible....

The kind of job I would like to have in the future is that of a teacher. I imagine it as a constant interaction with people (specifically students) where I can teach them the knowledge I have acquired in my studies. Right now I am studying anthropology, and in the future I would like to follow the path of medical anthropology or maybe something that involves children, because I think it is very important to pay attention to a problematic that maybe is not mentioned so much in this adult-centered world. So I would like to work teaching at universities or colleges about children's anthropology or about medicine in anthropology, and if I could do both that would be amazing. I think I'll probably have to go on to further education and get an advanced degree, like a master's and a doctorate to have that kind of job. I've been to three concerts in my life; I've seen One Direction, Harry Styles and Residente. I liked them all very much, and it's especially difficult to choose between Harry's concert and Residente's concert. But today I'm going to talk about the Harry Styles concert. Harry Styles is a singer, songwriter and actor. He became famous for being part of One Direction. He is 28 years old and is from Holmes Chapel, England. He has won multiple awards, including a Grammy. The concert was at the Movistar Arena on May 25, 2018, one day before my birthday. The ticket for the concert was an amazing birthday present from my brother. I was really looking forward to seeing Harry because I had seen him before in 2014 at a One Direction concert, but I saw him too far away, so it wasn't as exciting that time. The country I would like to visit is Italy, because I like the history behind that country and I have always loved Venice, since I was a little girl I have wanted to travel there. I love the combination of canals and ancient architecture, I have always dreamed of taking a boat ride in that city.  Italy has beautiful landscapes and a romantic atmosphere that attracts my attention. I would like to go there in summer (my favorite season) to enjoy the beaches, resorts and the surrounding nature. Unfortunately, I don't speak italian, so I would like to go when I have learned a bit so I can have a better experience. When I finish my first degree maybe I would like to study or work in Italy if I had the chance, but honestly I don't see myself living the rest of my life there because I would like to be able to have the experience of living in other countries as well.

The subject I really love to study is human evolution. In university I had a course on that, and it was amazing. This subject is about how monkeys evolve to humans and how homo sapiens came to America at some point. In it I studied how monkeys living in Africa many years ago underwent ecosystem changes, and how that influenced the way they walked. This ended up triggering an evolution that spanned many years, and that also made it possible to be the humans we are today. I also learned that humans living in Asia came to America, which explains the genetics of indigenous peoples.  Before doing this course, I was very confused about human evolution, there is a lot of misinformation about it, especially when people talk about aliens, so this course was very enlightening.  I really enjoyed this course because I was so intrigued about the origins of humans, especially indigenous people, and this course made me understand the morphological characteristics of people living in America,...

When I was a kid , I discovered that I really liked to help people, I also liked to meet people, therefore, I decided to study anthropology because I believe that the skills that this major gives me will allow me to help communities or groups of people in the future while learning from them. Anthropology is very important, since it contributes to the world by providing knowledge and tools that allow us to know and understand the human along with its multiple aspects. Thanks to anthropology we can understand the origins of the human being along with the great diversity of social relations and cultural aspects that it has, and based on that is that anthropology can influence scientifically, politically and socially in the world I see myself as an anthropologist who relates to people or communities, specifically children. I captured this photo in October 2017, you can't see it, but in it I tried to capture the separation between Los Reyes Park and  La Familia  Park. It has a very beautiful meaning for me because it reminds me of a spectacular day, the sky looked very beautiful, and the place seemed beautiful to me. In addition, it reminds me of two people I love very much, with whom I toured the entire Los Reyes Park that day, we did not have it planned, but we even arrived at the Family Park, which made me very happy because I did not know that place. Hello everyone! Today I will talk to you about my favourite food. My favourite food is vegetables of Chinese food. The vegetables of Chinese food usually consist of broccoli, cauliflower, carrot, mushrooms, chives, and dragon teeth. These vegetables are accompanied by a particular sauce that gives them a special salty flavor.  This meal is prepared by sautéing the vegetables, then soy sauce and other dressings are added to taste. Cornstarch is also usually added to thicken the sauce that accompanies the vegetables.  I really like this food because it has a taste and texture that I like a lot, plus the smell is very rich and makes it much more appetizing. The vegetables in Chinese food have a healthy impact on my health since the foods that make it up have a high amount of protein and do not contain too many calories.

Hi! In this post I will talk about my sewing machine, which is my favourite piece of technology. The sewing machine is my favorite because I can do different and unique things with it. My parents gave me one about two years ago, I had never had one before. To use the sewing machine you need sewing thread and a piece of cloth. The thread should be placed in place, then the type of stitch for sewing is chosen, the fabric is placed under the needle, and the pedal is pressed to start sewing. With the sewing machine I can fix and adjust clothes, create new pieces of clothing and even recycle them. I can also do any kind of things that include fabric, such as curtains, cushion covers, bags, etc. Lately I don't use it very often. Hi there! In this post I am going to talk about the reason why I chose my career. When I was in school I love learning about history, culture, indigenous people and archaeology. At that time I wanted to be a teacher, my own teachers inspired to me, they were really good whit me. Once, one teacher in particular talked to me about antropology, he said to me that maybe I could study antropology because matched whith my interestings and habilities. At secondary school I wanted to study astronomy, history, filosophy or something that includes biology. Being a teacher still was in my options. At the end, I chose antropology because I realized that maybe I could learn about all the things I always wanted and helping people at the same time, specially kids, because I've grown up with vulnerable kids all my life and I want to contribute to society so they could have a better life and the same opportunities than other people. I am Nataly Marín and I was born on May 26, 2002 in Santiago, Chile. At elementary school I studied at Escuela España located in Recoleta, in the north of Santiago. Later, in high school, I studied for two years at the Liceo Miguel de Cervantes y Saavedra, located in the center of Santiago. Later I completed my last 2 years of high school at the Liceo 7 de Santiago Teresa Prats. I am currently studying anthropology at Universidad de Chile. I have a brother and a sister, they are both older than me. I live with my mom, dad and sister in Recoleta. My brother has his own house where he lives with his son. My hobbies are reading, writing, sewing and making my own clothes, taking and editing pictures, dancing, and reading about astrology.
